Morocco

About this trip

Morocco is one of those destinations that pulls you in because of its contrasts. The chaos of Marrakech, where scooters fly past crowded souks and the smell of spices fill the air, feels worlds away from the silence of the Sahara, where the only sound at sunrise is the wind moving across the dunes.

This experience has been designed for people who want more than just a typical holiday. Here we travel through dramatically different landscapes, experience local culture properly, share long drives and unforgettable moments together, and immerse ourselves in a country that feels intense, vibrant, and deeply authentic.

For 9 nights we’ll experience Morocco through deserts, mountains, coastlines, medinas, and small local moments that make travel unforgettable. You’re not just coming to see Morocco. You’re coming to experience it.

Day 1 - Arrival to Marrakesh

Welcome to Morocco!

The Nowa Experiences team will be waiting for you at the airport. Once all of our travellers arrive we will be transfered to our Riad and from there the adventure begins in the Red City.

A place where chaos and beauty coexist in every street.

After arriving and settling into our riad, we'll gather for our first dinner together.

The beginning of new friendships.
The beginning of Morocco.

Day 2 - Discovering the Soul of Marrakech

Today we dive into the city's most iconic corners.

From the tranquil beauty of Majorelle Garden to the intricate architecture of Bahia Palace, we'll explore the rich history and culture that make Marrakech so unique.

We'll wander through the medina's maze of souks, discover hidden courtyards, and experience the city's unmistakable energy.

As evening approaches, we'll reconnect with our bodies through an outdoor workout before heading out for another memorable Moroccan dinner.

Day 3 - Crossing the Atlas Mountains

Today the scenery changes completely.

We leave Marrakech behind and head into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing dramatic mountain passes, traditional bereber villages, and landscapes that feel untouched by time.

Along the way we'll visit the legendary Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites.

By evening we arrive in the spectacular Dades Valley, surrounded by dramatic rock formations, ancient kasbahs, and endless desert horizons.

Day 4 - The Call of the Sahara

Today we journey deeper into southeastern Morocco.

The valleys slowly disappear behind us as the landscape becomes more open, more silent, and more powerful.

We pass through the breathtaking Todra Gorges, cross remote desert towns, and eventually reach Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara.

Then comes one of the defining moments of the trip.

Sunset over the dunes.

The desert transforms into shades of gold, orange, and deep red as the sun sinks below the horizon.

Tonight we sleep in the Sahara.

Traditional food.
Bereber music.
A fire beneath the stars.

A night you'll remember forever.

Day 5 - Sahara Sunrise & Desert Life

Before the world wakes up, we'll climb the dunes to witness sunrise over Erg Chebbi.

A yoga session in the heart of the desert provides the perfect start to the day.

As the Sahara slowly comes to life, we'll explore the region's fascinating culture and traditions, visiting local villages and discovering the rhythms of desert life.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy however you choose.

Relax by the pool.
Try sandboarding.
Explore by quad bike.

The desert invites you to move at your own pace.

Day 6 - Through the Drâa Valley

Today we follow one of Morocco's oldest caravan routes.

The Drâa Valley stretches across the south like a green ribbon of life, lined with palm groves, hidden oases, and centuries-old kasbahs.

It's a slower day.

A chance to appreciate the landscapes, enjoy the journey itself, and experience a side of Morocco that remains wonderfully authentic.

By evening we arrive in Agdz, a peaceful oasis town surrounded by nature and mountain scenery.

Day 7 - From Desert to Ocean

After days surrounded by mountains and dunes, a completely different Morocco awaits.

Today we travel west towards the Atlantic coast.

The scenery shifts dramatically as desert landscapes give way to ocean views, surf culture, and sea air. Along the way we will visit Taliouine which is Morocco's saffron region.

By sunset we arrive in Taghazout.

A small fishing village turned surf paradise.

The perfect place to slow down and breathe.

Day 8 - Surf & Slow Living

Today is all about embracing the rhythm of the Atlantic.

After a relaxed morning, we'll take part in a surf session designed for all levels, whether you're stepping onto a board for the first time or already comfortable in the waves.

The rest of the day is yours.

Beach walks.
Oceanfront cafés.
Sunsets from rooftop terraces.

To close the journey, we will gather to enjoy one final dinner together.

A celebration of everything we've experienced.

Day 9 - Until Next Time

Our final morning begins slowly.

A gentle stretching/yoga session.
After breakfast we make our way back to Marrakech, we return home with stories to tell, friendships to keep, and a little piece of Morocco that stays with us long after the trip ends.
